Air Austral is a French airline with its headquarters at Roland Garros Airport in Sainte-Maries, Réunion, France. It operates scheduled services from Réunion to

The company has 900 employees. It has been in operation for over 40 years since its founding in 1974 and is Réunion’s first commercial airline.

Since its founding as Réunion Air Services, it began to expand into regional services and renamed Air Réunion in 1986. In 1991, Air Réunion was purchased and renamed Air Austral. Since then the airline has expanded it has reached into Africa, Europe and even Asia.

Air Austral has a baggage policy that allows passenger to have a free checked baggage allowance of two pieces of luggage with a certain weight limit, depending on your cabin class. The airline offers its clients with the choice of three cabin options, namely Loisers (economy), Confort (premium economy) and Club Austral (business class). Passengers of Air Austral are encouraged to check in 45min before departure time for domestic flights, while 2 to 3 hours before international flights.
