Southwest Airlines


Southwest Airlines is a mayor airline situated in the United States of America. It is the world’s largest low cost carrier that is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The airline was established in 1967 and took on its current name (Southwest Airlines) in 1971.

Southwest Airlines currently contains a fleet of 572 aircrafts and operates scheduled flights to 98 destinations in 41 states.

Southwest Airlines baggage allowances are as follows:

The airline will accept the first two checked bags free of charge provided that the bags do not exceed the weight limit of 50lbs and 62 inches. Baggage that exceed the weight from 51 to 100 pounds and the oversized items that are more than 62 inches but not more than 80 inches will be accepted for a charge of $75.00 per item one way.  

A part of the in-flight entertainment that is provided by the airline is their offering of Wi-Fi to their passengers. Passengers can make use to the on-board Wi-Fi during their flight. The Wi-Fi is charges at $8 a day per device.
